Full NIC/EIC Test, Inspection & Remedial Works

Project Overview

Smart CI Group were appointed to carry out a full NIC/EIC test and inspection of the main LV panels and associated electrical services at Moor House, one of the most prominent and high-profile Grade A office buildings in the City of London.

Designed by Foster & Partners, Moor House provides over 314,000 sq ft of premium office accommodation across 16 floors, with contemporary exposed ceiling finishes and extensive mechanical and electrical plant.

Following an insurance request for compliance and risk assessment, Smart CI Group were engaged to test, inspect, and report on the electrical infrastructure supporting the building’s AHU (Air Handling Units), LTHW (Low Temperature Hot Water), and CHW (Chilled Water) heating and cooling systems.

Scope of Works

Full NIC/EIC test and inspection of the main LV panel and connected electrical supplies.
Comprehensive testing of circuits serving large mechanical plant, including AHUs, LTHW, and CHW systems.
Detailed condition reporting with a complete record of results.
Identification of non-compliances and remedial actions required to meet insurance and regulatory standards.
Delivery of phase two remedial works, including corrective electrical installations and compliance upgrades.

Project Delivery

Testing and inspection were carried out in line with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and NIC/EIC standards.
Our engineers worked around live building operations, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants and facilities.
Findings were presented to the client with a clear action plan for remedial works.
All remedial works were completed as part of a second project phase, ensuring the LV panels and connected plant remained safe, compliant, and fully operational.
